The Chinese are simply trying to commercialize the idea of using embedded platforms in laptop form factors. This does enable to cheaper and lower power laptops. Which will hopefully be used by OLPC in their next models so that they also can cut price and power consumption. And especially so OLPC can bring better software for ARM based embedded laptop form factors. OLPC started this whole thing.
